Practice philosophy

Understanding context before recommendations

The right advice depends on the situation, so every engagement begins with understanding the context: the decisions in front of you, the assumptions behind them, and the constraints that shape what is possible. Recommendations come only after that groundwork is in place.

Rather than offering off-the-shelf playbooks, I examine the assumptions behind a decision with rigor and candor. The aim is a clear, considered perspective you can test against your own judgment, not a prescription handed down from above.

How we work

Direct dialogue, independence, and intellectual rigor

I keep the conversation direct and focused on what matters to you. Advisory engagements are led personally with absolute discretion, and the relationship is built over the long term on candid exchange and an independent point of view.

Independence means I answer to the quality of the counsel, not to any product or agenda. Rigor means testing assumptions before committing to a course of action.
